One of the original package holiday destinations, the Spanish Costas have attracted the British holidaymakers for decades. Having had bad press in the 1980s and 90s, the Spanish government invested heavily to improve the reputation of the resorts and secure invaluable tourist trade.

Spain

The resorts now offer a great combination of tradition and culture with tapas bars and local dishes, as well as entertainment for all ages, from amusement and water parks for the young at heart, glorious beaches for the sun worshippers and water sports for the more active. At night there is a great range of restaurants, bars and discos as well as entertainment for the older holidaymakers who find long stays over the winter very appealing.

 Costa Blanca

Alicante

Costa Blanca - known as the 'white coast' has been a popular destination for British tourists for many years. With the long, hot summer days, and lovely evenings, the finest award winning sandy beaches it is hardly surprising. If you can manage to tear yourself from the beaches you can also experience the beautiful mountains and hundreds of orange and lemon groves.

For some more fun, the new water park will keep the whole family entertained all day. No doubt Costa Blanca has something for everyone.

Benidorm

Benidorm offers a mixture of Spanish Culture along with modern Europe. During the day visit the winding cobbled streets of the Old Town to experience the traditions of Spain. At night check out some of the numerous restaurants, bars, and discos that the Spanish coasts are famous for and don't forget to try the local Tapas and Flamenco shows. Of course there are the glorious sandy beaches - many of which, including Levante and Poniente Beaches hold the Blue Flag for high safety and environmental standards.

Costa Brava

Gerona

Costa Brava offers a great mixture of lively bustling resorts and quieter isolated coves offering peace and tranquility. An old favourite of the British, the beaches are fabulous and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The resorts are packed with entertainment from water sports, funfairs, amusements, and crazy golf to an array at nighttime of bars, clubs and discos.

Costa Brava

Traditional Spanish cuisine is offered as well as the British style menus to suit all tastes. Lloret de Mar is home from home. It has a great atmosphere that attracts families, couples and singles of all ages. Tossa de Mar has a more cultural feel with its narrow medieval streets and castle as well as one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava. Santa Susanna is a smaller quieter town but still offers a good selection of bars and restaurants and a lively promenade to keep all entertained. A lively base is Calella, which combines the traditional Spanish town and modern area of British style pubs and discos a favourite for groups of friends.

Marbella

Marbella is a cosmopolitan and sophisticated resort, with one of the main attractions of the area being Puerto Banus. A chic marina with luxurious yachts where the rich and perhaps famous 'hang out'. Numerous cafes, bars and restaurants surround the waterside, making this an excellent and fascinating place to people watch. Shopping is stylish around the marina boutiques with more designer stores in Marbella itself. There are golf courses outside of the marina as well as beaches for relaxing or water sports for some activity. At night Marbella and Puerto Banus liven up for you to dance the night away should you so wish.

The long sandy beaches offer a range of water sports. The resort has adventure parks for the kids both little and big - Atlantis Aqua Park and Tivoli World. For those who would like to see more of the traditional Spanish culture, Malaga is only 30 minutes drive away.
